This is my favourite restaurant in Florence.  With so many to choose from it is nice to have a place you can totally rely on for great food and great service.

Located in Oltarno (South of the Arno) it’s a little off the beaten track, but well worth the short wander over the Ponte Vecchio, after which take your 3rd right down Via Della Sprone, the restaurant is in a lovely little square at the end of that road.

The food is wonderful, I hardly know where to start for recommendations!  I guess my favourite main is the Lombatella di Vitellone… an exquisite veal chop.  However, we’ve been with friends and family several times and never been disappointed by anything.  The staff are very helpful and all happy to converse in English if you’re struggling with the only Italian menus.  35 Euros a head will satisfy most appetites and thirst quenching requirements!

Despite the non-central location 4 Leonie has been full by 1.30pm practically every time we’ve been there, so I would recommend booking a table if you’re organised enough.  Outside in the summer is lovely.  Here’s the website…
